@ About the Scratch : The cultural and historical context, sharing experiences of Scratch@MIT 2008
We'd like to start from visualizing the network among Jean Piaget, Seymour Papert, LOGO, Alan Kay, OLPC and Scratch. We believe that interesting contexts that can be inferred from history of personal computers, thoughts about computers as new media are still very important and inspiring subjects in current situation around our daily life. Those contexts are not old school at all. Here we try to state about the value of Scratch and the culture around it. we also would like to share the experiences of Scratch Conference 2008 and C5 Conference 2009 to expose world wide discussion on it.
@ Diverse movements around the Scratch in Korea
Introducing many activities in Korea such as Scratch workshop, PINY
camp, noble classroom in alternative schools, using Scratch in
Alternative Language Festival & P-camp, and Scratch as a media art
tool ("3 media artists"). Moreover, we would like to
give you a big question, "What is new digital culture? and How can we
make it together?"
@ Scratch 101
Simple and easy introduction about Scratch and how to explore it for
newbies. It also introduces design principles that make Scratch as a
tool which support creative thinking.
@ Scratch and My 2-year-old son.
This is one father's story about making a creative conversation with his 2-year-old son using Scratch. It tells us how Scratch gives meaningful values in everyday life for us.
@ Scratch and Physical Computing
We introduce a lot of works that called Physical Computing with Sensor Board on Scratch. If you are interested in Media art project, such as Arduino, this must be fun. And we show another possibility of Scratch using network protocol (Park, dong-hee) We also talk about issues that occurred during making a Korean version of Sensor board 'Sustainable open source hardware project ' (Song, ho-jun)

@ Inside scratch with Smalltalk
Scratch is implemented in Squeak Smalltalk. We look inside Scratch source code to check how it was built. This must be a good chance you can meet smalltalk that opened OOP world.
