Scratch Day

Posted 1 year ago by Alan O'Donohoe

Come and join us for our Scratch Day event open to children, families, teachers and anyone who wants to take their first steps into coding. (We recommend a minimum age of 8 and no maximum age)

What is Scratch?
Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art -- and share your creations on the web.

As young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn important mathematical and computational ideas, while also learning to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.

What to Expect
This day is particularly suited to people who have little or no experience in using Scratch. The day will be structured around a series of practical guided sessions. Each session will be led by an experienced teacher.
