Charles was born in 1966. At two, he was too young to listen to Doug Engelbart show a mouse to the public for the first time, but in 1981 he encountered with Logo, reading a French translation of Papert's book, Mindstorms. Since then he's been mad about computers and how they make us think: at secondary school, getting them to buy many cheap computers rather than a few PCs, at University, programming a computer to his Maths homework for him, and with Scratch, programming physics simulations and 3D. Charles has a day job, educating teenagers into computing, with Scratch, and children, also with Scratch, and adults, with, yes!, Scratch too!
