Celebrate Computational Thinking & Making through Scratch Day @ KCI Makerspace!

Hosted by Elisabeth Sylvan

About Event

On Wednesday May 16th, the KCI Underground Makerspace at Foothill College in Los Altos, will be open late to celebrate coding and play with our students, educators but especially youth and families, as part of this year's Scratch Day.

Children, families and educators can get started with game design, animations and coding using Scratch and ScratchJr's free visual programming platform. Learn to connect Scratch to the physical world through Makey Makey boards or other robotics kits! Chromebooks computers will be available or bring your own device. Consider making your Scratch account on http://scratch.mit.edu and upload your projects to share on the big night!

All ages are welcome but our programming will be best for ages 6-14. Children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult. Feel free to come anytime and leave anytime. Our schedule is listed below.
