Scratch Day is a global celebration of Scratch!

Last year, we transformed Scratch Day into Scratch Week and will continue the same format for 2022! The Scratch Team has organized a series of online Scratch activities throughout the week of May 16-20.
We invite you to imagine, create, and share with others in the global Scratch community! To find out more, visit our Scratch Week page.

In light of the spread of COVID-19, we will not be promoting any in-person Scratch Week events in May 2022.

About Scratch Day

Scratch Day started as a global network of events where people gather to celebrate Scratch, the free coding platform and online community for kids. Scratch Day events bring together young people from the Scratch community to share projects, learn from each other, and welcome newcomers.

Want to Host?

You need to be at least 18 years old to sign up as a host on this site, because contact name and email address will be posted online.

Begin Registration

If you’re under 18, please arrange for an adult (such as a parent or teacher) to register as a host and serve as the main contact. To plan your event, see our Scratch Day Resources.

Want to Publish?

We want you to too! To publish your event, you must first verify your email address by clicking on the link in the email we sent you during registration. If you can't find it, check your spam folders or email scratchday@media.mit.edu.
